Crazy Mad!

     OK.. got a box today....was Christmas. I had ordered some fabric and did not remember. Don't you just love that. I was so surprised at the colors.
Guess I was in a happy mood that day. I tend to use all jewel tones everywhere in my house. I always think I need to get some bold colors. That day I must been very bold.
     I haven't got to sew in a while. Been doing cleaning all over my house.
You know with Thanksgiving coming up I have to get this place clean. My sons come with their families. I also have my bother and maybe some friends. It's hard to think about but I love it anyway....

OH! the Tension! ! !

Just can not get the tension right on this thing. The front looks great then the back is eyelased. I don't know if I will ever get this thing right. Guess I'll call a repair shop to come see if they can set it for me.........

Longarm is Breaking Mine!

I am ready to call the place back to return this thing.....I can not get this thing to work. All it does is break thread. I have been on the phone so much it is rooting in my ears. Wish I had got this some place here. I will never buy from a company that is out of state. They have no one to work on them.    What little I have got to do I love it.  Check back later ! I'll let you know when the beast is tame................................................... 

Here a chick , there a chick, ever where a chick.........

This is soooo cute. I don't think my chickens sleep like this but they like their beds. I have 44 and 45 with the baby. They are little cramped for room but I let them out each day in the yard so they make out ok. I do have a few that had rather stay inside. I go out and sit in the yard to watch and throw bread and they all come out. About half have names. I do have my special ones......but like them all.  I am a chicken whisperer. And the eggs just keep on coming.....................

BAND on the RUN! ! ! ! !

This is my grandson's Birthday gift....I went in while they were gone and fixed it all for him...
He is 14 this year......He plays piano, guitar, violin,and drums. I found just the right material.
He was very happy........me too!

Little Town Named "Hope"

I went around to yard sales today. I found these cute Jim Shore, stores and church. Each have quilts on them. They are sooooo cute. I got them for $2.00 each. I am so excited. I love anything quilts. And what a buy.

 Are these not sooooo cute. I wish I may ...Wish I might....live in a little town with this house to the right!

I could walk to town and  know everyone I meet, And say Hello!  and later on Goodnight!

I could look at the quilts on every shop,  Go to the Church and learn about our wonderful God ........He gave us the beauty to share with each other.   And what a town it would be.
No meaness!  No fights! Just love for each other...Town  named "Hope"

So and Sew!

I'm thinking about teaching a quilting class. Just a few. Maybe 4 ladies. I know there are ladies out there that want to learn but don't want to go to a shop with a big class. I can teach the basic than move on if thet want....Just love to have a group to share with. ......Makes me have to clean my house....I can do this....

My Baby girl......

This is my wonderful grandaughter...She got out of school this year. She got honors. But I have to tell you she is a jr. in college in pre med.  How does that float your boat...
I know yours is great too. lol

I am so very proud of her,

as I am all my grandchildren........

Back in the sewing chair again! ! !

Hot Head!

I have been soooo sick!  But I'm doing much better!

Did everyone have a nice Thanksgiving? I cooked this year and it could have been
my very last..... I did enjoy all my family here. Both boys came. Sould say MEN....and family of the oldest....My younest is not married and has no chrildren....But we love him anyway....lol...

 

 

 

We Need Warm!

I got my girls place all weather poofed...
It's not really cold here right now but it is going to get here soon. We got both done
this weekend.....Maybe they will start laying a little better. Girls have been molting and haven't been doing as well..

Dreams Do Come True ! ! !

Here is my wonderful bath...I still have to redo my chair. But look! I have a gorgeous, large, and beautiful shower. . I want some pretty towels to go on my bar there. Can't get it all at once.
Love my bead board walls....the top is gray....

The bottom picture is the other side of my bath.
The tub came from my grandmother's house. We had it redone...I am so very excited about it. I love the way it turned out. We have not used it yet!  This room absolutely takes my breath away


 I made the quilt on the wall and the bench....I want to cover
my stool with it when it is painted.....

Wee Bit Busy!!!!!

I put my quilt up and everyone had to come see. But I was to far away to get a good picture of it.
I'll have to try again......

I have been so busy and it seens like it has been this whole year, I've had no time. I want to do better, really I do....

My bathroom is finished now....I love it...What a bath....want to see?

Pure Perfection !

The ride is almost over....My bathroom is almost finished. It has been a forever thing. I know I am loving it . I'll show pictures really soon. We will be starting the hall bath now....no telling how long it will take.....Than on to the wall behind the wood burning stove....I may never sew again...lol

Hot or Cold ?

 

   Not much summer left for flowers. I love the blooms on all the flowers in spring....sad when it is over but the heat is just ssooo bad in Texas. Ready
for fall weather. Cool down!
   Still haven't got to sew any. I'm still working in the bath. You would think
I would be finished but not yet. We are getting close. The guys are putting the floor in on tue. The bad part is I have to clean my closet out. Ladies what is in your closet? I know, I know..I have 2 of them.....

Silent of the Machines! ! ! ! !

I have not sewn in a while.  I have been painting...My bath is still not finished....OH! I'm so ready to get this project over.
Miss. Kitty comes in and begs to go into sewing room but she likes me to sew...I just let her in and she looks out the window. No sewing today.......

Making Boards!!!!!

I have been busy with a new job.....This is our retirement....can you believe it.....We now own a sawmill!.....My son and husband have this together.....Guess who gets to keep books.....Well, it
is a starting to a whole new way of life....it is aweson to watch. Maybe we can cut out a living in this....

Going in Circles!

That is about what I have been doing. We are redoing out main bathroom. It has been a real boatload of troubles. This is our shower and sink top. Glass man is coming this week.
Who knew the" super duper" mess that could happen when you just want a new shower. Got to have a new pot....floor
has to be done.....plumbing is not right, redo for tub...lights are to be new....the list is never ending....money maybe...but list never....

PinWheels Turning !

I'm working on twisters. I love this pattern and the way it turns out. First you have to sew all the squares together, just like you were making a quilt. Than cut with the template showen here. It does take a lot of time to cut out. As they twist into pin wheels it does grow smaller.......But the boarder
will add to the size......

First Came My Girls!

Have I got eggs?  I am so proud of the girls. They do a wonderful job. I just can't keep up washing.
I get about 2 doz. a day. It is so much fun.  Really enjoy the girls. I sell eggs at my home and on thursday I take 10 doz. to the dairy here. I have all different colors of eggs. It's like a Easter egg hunt
without the hunting.......
