Hot Head!

I have been soooo sick!  But I'm doing much better!

Did everyone have a nice Thanksgiving? I cooked this year and it could have been
my very last..... I did enjoy all my family here. Both boys came. Sould say MEN....and family of the oldest....My younest is not married and has no chrildren....But we love him anyway....lol...

 

 

 

We Need Warm!

I got my girls place all weather poofed...
It's not really cold here right now but it is going to get here soon. We got both done
this weekend.....Maybe they will start laying a little better. Girls have been molting and haven't been doing as well..

Dreams Do Come True ! ! !

Here is my wonderful bath...I still have to redo my chair. But look! I have a gorgeous, large, and beautiful shower. . I want some pretty towels to go on my bar there. Can't get it all at once.
Love my bead board walls....the top is gray....

The bottom picture is the other side of my bath.
The tub came from my grandmother's house. We had it redone...I am so very excited about it. I love the way it turned out. We have not used it yet!  This room absolutely takes my breath away


 I made the quilt on the wall and the bench....I want to cover
my stool with it when it is painted.....

Wee Bit Busy!!!!!

I put my quilt up and everyone had to come see. But I was to far away to get a good picture of it.
I'll have to try again......

I have been so busy and it seens like it has been this whole year, I've had no time. I want to do better, really I do....

My bathroom is finished now....I love it...What a bath....want to see?

Pure Perfection !

The ride is almost over....My bathroom is almost finished. It has been a forever thing. I know I am loving it . I'll show pictures really soon. We will be starting the hall bath now....no telling how long it will take.....Than on to the wall behind the wood burning stove....I may never sew again...lol

Hot or Cold ?

 

   Not much summer left for flowers. I love the blooms on all the flowers in spring....sad when it is over but the heat is just ssooo bad in Texas. Ready
for fall weather. Cool down!
   Still haven't got to sew any. I'm still working in the bath. You would think
I would be finished but not yet. We are getting close. The guys are putting the floor in on tue. The bad part is I have to clean my closet out. Ladies what is in your closet? I know, I know..I have 2 of them.....

Silent of the Machines! ! ! ! !

I have not sewn in a while.  I have been painting...My bath is still not finished....OH! I'm so ready to get this project over.
Miss. Kitty comes in and begs to go into sewing room but she likes me to sew...I just let her in and she looks out the window. No sewing today.......

Making Boards!!!!!

I have been busy with a new job.....This is our retirement....can you believe it.....We now own a sawmill!.....My son and husband have this together.....Guess who gets to keep books.....Well, it
is a starting to a whole new way of life....it is aweson to watch. Maybe we can cut out a living in this....

Going in Circles!

That is about what I have been doing. We are redoing out main bathroom. It has been a real boatload of troubles. This is our shower and sink top. Glass man is coming this week.
Who knew the" super duper" mess that could happen when you just want a new shower. Got to have a new pot....floor
has to be done.....plumbing is not right, redo for tub...lights are to be new....the list is never ending....money maybe...but list never....

PinWheels Turning !

I'm working on twisters. I love this pattern and the way it turns out. First you have to sew all the squares together, just like you were making a quilt. Than cut with the template showen here. It does take a lot of time to cut out. As they twist into pin wheels it does grow smaller.......But the boarder
will add to the size......

First Came My Girls!

Have I got eggs?  I am so proud of the girls. They do a wonderful job. I just can't keep up washing.
I get about 2 doz. a day. It is so much fun.  Really enjoy the girls. I sell eggs at my home and on thursday I take 10 doz. to the dairy here. I have all different colors of eggs. It's like a Easter egg hunt
without the hunting.......

   

Making of the Past......

So sorry it has been a while. I was busy than got sick.  It happens! ! !  I wanted to get more pictures on here of my Reunion quilt....This was the first block....then Mother and Father
with 16 blocks of children's names. Could you handle 16 kids....
Sometimes my 2 boys were like 16....but as I look back
wish I would of had more children.....

This was my back of the quilt. Turned out nice.....Very
proud of it and I wish I could have made one for all who came......So sorry who missed out. But I  hope the owner of this likes it with the love it was made with.........




                                                                              

Cox Family Reunion!

Been a while! I was soooo busy with my family quilt. It just took all my time. But I will show a picture when I unload them. It was well worth the time......Everyone loved it and I got each to sign it at the reunion. I must say it went for more money than I every was thinking it would. I'll come back when I get my pictures.....This one you can't see very well............

Another One Bites The Dust ! ! !

Storm was coming in ....I was waiting to put the girls and boy up.  But all the talk and it played out.

But the noise and clouds put on a fabulous show.......

When this happens it is like, God is saying " Remember I am in conplete control". And you know what..... he is. I am so blessed. So much to thank him for each day.

There were 13 Brother and Sisters. That makes for a lot of family. I'm going to embroidery the names of the 13 in each block, than put it together with white stripes......I have already fell in love with this because it has a lot of my past fabric in it. Dresses, curtins, quilts, sheets, table cloths and
fabric that my Mother gave me, she made things out of.........Even my grandaughter's dresses.......

Saturday Showoff !!!!

This is in my sewing room....I decided you might like to see all my insperational peices of art....
I like to look at these machines and imagine the wonderful little ladys and all the awesome things she sewed on this old machine.

This is a crank model...I have the case for this one.....My dear sweet Mother gave me the ST doll when I was about 6. I have a picture of my grandbaby sewing her first dress at eight.....And this is a postcard a friend sent me for my sewing room... Did I cover it all?


I have these beautiful little machines and pincustions all over my sewing room.....I enjoy them very much. The little treasures just make my day when I enter this room...I do love the sewing baskets
as well. I have a few in different sizes. You can spy some in my pictures.....My Mother gave me the clock for my room too....Really miss her  but she is always apart of my daily memories...So much of who I am she has a hand in .....as all out Mothers so lovingly do!

This pattern came from ....Leedle deedle quilt....It is called String X Blocks...  I think I'm going to like the blues...makes me think of country...not really a country blue but I liked  all the blue colors....I'll be showing you my progress as time goes on.....I'm doing quilt, bed ruffel, and curtains in there......am I really...brave girl.....

Where Am I Going?????

     I just super  love these chairs. They are so artistic and inspiring to me. I don't like the guy...no not the young guy...He's kind of cute but the guy in the hat with the ladies dress on.
Indulge me here!  I have been looking for a chair everywhere. I like the one beside the cute guy.
Just think if you could put this in your quilting room....Great....Do you have room......

My new fabric....These colors are soooo delicious. I just love
mauve....I haven't decided just how I'm going to use them.
But the Stitchin" Heaven had a sell. Buy 3 yards and get one free.....I found this for 7.00 a yard....Fabric you know has went up and it is so high now. I got this in the sale room.....
Have any pattern you think will work.....Let me know....

Little Works of Art:

I wanted to share with you some post cards that was sent to me in a swap...They are so cute. These are so well made ....I love them....














I put them on my Hooster with my chickens.......This is where Miss Kitty gets on the top.....She loves chickens as much as I do......Just awesome....

Have a Seat!

I picked these up at a little shop..Are they not just cute cute??.I want to do  pincushions in them..I saw some once on someones blog, chairs were made a little different, They were so precious.  They did have candles in the seats.....Don't you think these will be fabulous as pincushions? I'll have to find right material than I'll be back.......

Abundantly Blessed!!!!!!

I heard from my son who is in Africa now. His wife keeps me updated when she hears. He is doing fine. I know God has built a dome of protection around the team there. We have been praying none stop.
 Our church has a chart set up. I'm so proud of him.  What an  amaaing thing to do. Answering Gods call. He is such a awesome husband and father. He leads his family in Gods word everyday......
He is such a Godly man. He has such a love for the Lord. Hard for his family to only get word every now and than. Oh! hard for Mommy too!  The team will be gone 13 days over there.
My prayers are with them and all their familys......................

Valentines Day! Do you have a Sweetheart

Happy Valentines!!!!!
I got this finished last night. Better late than never..
I hope you have had the best day. Mine has been kind of lonesome. But than I get to sew all I want.

No treats or flowers this year. But that is ok. He would have if he wasn't working. And I know after 42 years I'm still the only
Valentine for him..........He sure is for me.

This is the ladder my Valentine got me. It was last year sometime. I wanted to display all by quilts. They make it to
size for you. I really wish we had not ordered it so wide.
I try to have a small wall hanging on it for all the holidays.
than I just put it up and get out something new to hang. I think this year ( since I was so late ) I will  leave this out all month.

I'll have to think on March. I guess it has to be about wind.
You know March winds, April showers, bring May flowers.

My Creative Side!

More Mug Rugs......I'll never get finished. But I do love to make them. Kind of a freedom to express
yourself. There is no right or wrong to the pattern......These are for my daughter. Yes, I only have 2 sons.
But the good Lord bless me with a wonderful daughter the day my son married. 
                                                                    

  I Know a little late
But I haven't had any time to sew this past week or so.

I still want to add ribbons and buttons on this. I'll show you when I finish.

I'll have it for next year anyway.
